एसटीपीआई 1993 से डेटा संचार सेवा प्रदाता के रूप में अगुआ रहा है । एसटीपीआई-हैदराबाद ने वर्ष 1993 से इन्टेलसैट एफ़ 3 स्टैण्डर्ड अर्थ स्टेशन (ईएस) द्वारा एसटीपी इकाइयों को पहला अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गेटवे के रूप में एनx64 डेटा संचार कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान किया है। एसटीपीआई ने अपने आरएफ़/माइक्रोवेव द्वारा उपभोक्ता परिसर को लास्ट मील कनेक्टिविटी(पॉइंट-टू-पॉइंट) प्रदान करनी शुरू की है। उस समय एसटीपीआई भारत में इन्टरनेट सेवाओं के लिए पॉइंट टू मल्टी पॉइंट माइक्रोवेव रेडियो नेटवर्क प्रदान करने वाल पहला संगठन था। अर्थ स्टेशन के 30 किमी के दायरे में स्थित एसटीपी इकाइयां लाइन-ऑफ़-साईट प

High Speed Data Communication Services

STPI has been the pioneer as Data Communication Service Provider in India since 1993. In 1993, STPI- Bengaluru provided nx64 Kbps data communication connectivity to STP units through Intelsat F3 Standard Earth Station (ES) as the First International Gateway. STPI started providing last mile connectivity (point-to-point) to customer premises through owned RF/Microwave. STPI was then the first organisation to provide point-to-multipoint Microwave Radio network for Internet services in India.

STPI Mangaluru Data Communication Services

Exclusive Earth Station based on satellite technology was commissioned during March 2002. Presently, STPI Mangaluru is operating on multiple fiber gateways to cater to the Data Communication / Internet bandwidth needs of the industry in Mangaluru. A well spread microwave local loop infrastructure is present to cater to the last mile needs of the customer across the city.
