Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Autonomous Society under Meity, Govt. of India, established Tirupati center in Andhra Pradesh under Hyderabad directorate in the year Dec 2001 with an objective to promote Software exports and to support IT/ITES industrial growth through implement STP/EHTP Scheme, Data communication Services, Set-Up and manage infrastructure facilities and provide other services like technology assessment and professional training.

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), an autonomous society under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India has been set up with distinct focus to boost up Software export from the country.
STPI Mysuru was set-up during 1998. Mysuru is the first non-capital city to have STPI center in India. STPI Mysuru has shown significant progress in nurturing the growth of Software Industry after the establishment of this center. There has been a steady growth from then on. Software Industries in Mysuru serves various sectors in IT and ITES like Web Content Development, Telecom Software, VLSI Services, Banking, Financial Services, Medical Transcription etc., Mysuru has good ecosystem for IT/ITES and ESDM industries.
