STPI-Aizawl

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) is a premier S&T organization under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India has been set up with a distinct focus on boosting Software export from the country and engaged in promoting IT/ITES Industry, innovation, R&D, start-ups, product/IP creation in the field of emerging technologies like IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision, Robotics, Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Augmented & Virtual Reality, Animation & Visual effect, Data Science & Analytics for various domains like Gaming, FinTech, Agritech, MedTech, Autonomous Connected Electric & Shared(ACES) Mobility, ESDM, Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, Drone, Efficiency Augmentation, etc.

STPI Aizawl center was inaugurated in 11^th August 2018 under STPI Guwahati Directorate in Mizoram to implement STP/EHTP Schemes and to promote the IT/ITES industry and to boost the software exports from the state. STPI Aizawl provides the state of the art Plug-and-Play facilities, managed infrastructure facilities and provide other services like Statutory Services, Datacom Services, Incubation Services, PMC Services, Data Centre Services, VAPT Services in North East Region.

STPI is establishing CoEs/Technology incubators for building India’s leadership in the above mentioned technology areas across the country in a collaborative manner. Till date, STPI has launched 24 Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs).

OctaNE CoEs is the key initiative program by STPI Guwahati to nurture start-ups with a conducive start-up ecosystem in the North-East Region by establishing 8 CoEs with state-of-the-art Labs, at CoE STPI Aizawl, a lab in 'Gaming & Entertainment' domain has been set up for start-ups/entrepreneurs to nurture local talent.

To select the best talent STPI will be launching Open Challenge Programs from time to time, the selected start-ups are provided with Mentoring support, IPR support, plug-and-play space, connectivity, cloud-based services, marketing support, and Direct funding support (seed fund).

Chief Mentor: Shri Pete Draper, SVP-Customer Production, Ryff., is an expert in the Gaming & Entertainment domain.

DIRECT FUNDING SUPPORT

Direct funding support will be extended to the selected startups, which can be used by them to defray part of their costs such as cloud hosting and services, cost of engagement of mentors, IPR creation, seed capital, cost of marketing, etc. The above direct support will enable the robust incubation of start-ups in emerging technologies, as well as productive innovation activities.

The support will be extended in stages as follows (on per-unit support):

i) Proof of Concept - ₹ 5 Lakhs

ii) Prototype - ₹ 15 Lakhs

iii) Marketing - ₹ 5 Lakhs

STPI Centre at Aizawl is equipped with Plug & Play incubation seats, a High-Speed Internet Bandwidth facility, a Conference Room, an Uninterrupted power supply, a Captive DG power system, and a Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) equipped with lab in ‘Gaming & Entertainment' domain.
